Jeff left the classroom after twenty-seven years as a middle-school teacher in a

diverse community to pursue the  opportunity to work  more closely with

individuals, couples, and families in a  therapeutic setting. Teaching opened many

scenarios to work closely with families focused on successfully navigating their child’s

academic career; from social or behavioral struggles to academic challenges that may include the diagnosis of ADD or ADHD.

Jeff returned to San Diego State University to complete his Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy and is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. He is building a practice that is strengths-based and client-centered, which means he believes people have the resources and the ability to find their own best path to live their best life.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), and Solution-Based Therapies represent the foundation of Jeff’s theoretical approach along with mindfulness and self-care. The opportunity to assist someone to rewrite their own narrative and develop their story to more closely align with their belief system will utilize these approaches while including clinically proven strategies and techniques from other theories.

Jeff is currently on leave and not accepting clients at this time.

CA BBS License: AMFT #117522 Jeff is accruing hours toward licensure and is supervised by Jessica Moran.
