​​Jessica has a wide variety of therapeutic experiences that assist her to aid each

individual, couple, and family she works with. Some of these experiences include

traditional therapy settings, intensive home-based behavioral services, hospice,

WRAP around programs, intensive residential settings, and online or telehealth

counseling. Due to these unique therapeutic experiences, Jessica has training in

working with individuals as young as 4 years to 95 years, and all those in-between. 

Jessica received a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from California State University, San Marcos and a Master's of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy with an emphasis in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder from University of La Verne. Jessica completed a doctoral study in Clinical Sexology at the Modern Sex Therapy Institutes. Jessica is a double certified sex therapist (AASECT and MSTI) and a trained EMDR provider. 

As a clinical supervisor she has worked to teach training therapists how to engage in successful therapy using a wide variety of techniques. She has experience with over 50 interns and associates working to pursue licenses in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, Applied Behavioral Analysis, and Professional Clinical Counselors. 

The therapeutic approach that Jessica utilizes is a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Emotion Focused Therapy, however she may pull from other forms of therapy based on each client's need. Jessica fully believes that no two individuals are the same and that each client or couple she works with needs an individualized and unique approach based on their life experiences to assist them in reaching their own therapeutic goals.

Jessica specializes in working with couples in all types and in all stages of their relationships, be it premarital counseling, marriage counseling, affair recovery, or discernment coaching. She also specializes in working with both adults and children with anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, overall life changes. As a certified sex therapist Jessica works with individuals and couples on a wide variety of sexual based challenges including, but not limited to, low desire, mismatched desire, erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, sexual exploration, and overcoming sexual trauma.

 

Jessica is a published children’s book author and has used her experience working with children challenged with anxiety to create her book “Allie the Alligator Gets Anxious.” This book is a fantastic way to introduce children to the concept of understanding their anxiety and how to use coping skills to overcome aspects of anxiety.
